SportsMedicine of Atlanta's philosophy encourages recreational activity for all age groups. Frequently, inactive people do not know how to start a safe fitness program, and thus fail to ever get started. To prevent this, we have developed a beginner's fitness clinic. Initially, participants are evaluated and all risk factors measured. Based upon the results, different beginning programs are prescribed. All programs are designed with the participant's likes and dislikes taken into consideration and are professionally monitored to ascertain progression. It is important that all programs are constantly re-monitored and progress is prescribed base upon an individual's tolerance. The tests that are given in addition to the risk taking profiles include nutritional work-ups, and psychological stress evaluations. In addition, every participant has a cardiovascular assessment, muscular fitness assessment, flexibility assessment, body composition measurements, joint integrity assessment, body composition measurements, and a posture assessment. All data are re-assessed every four months to ascertain that each body system is progressing towards better health. | |||||||||||||||
